Humanitarian concert report

Visitors enjoyed three-hour concert and danced in traditional and energetic West African rhythms. Everything was spiced with melodic tunes of the band Iroko, led by a longtime teacher and djembe percussionist Krešimir Oreški.Visitors enjoyed the virtuosity of djembe teacher Sam Bushara and his friends, and also Tribal Jam Orchestra with African rhythms. At the beginning of the concert, Dragica Kopjar, president of Blue Angel,
welcomed visitors. She thanked all the performers and volunteers and presented actions and projects of the association. Then she joined artists and with friends from Ljubljana, Roman and Vladimir, she played the gong. All present were also delighted with cellist Ljerka Končar who was performing Bach.
The concert was organized under the action "Children of Kenya" , which runs from the promotion of the association. Also an exhibition of photographs opened on this subject in the public library Kustošija that lasts up to 11th April where photos can be seen and bought at a affordable price.
